Bob Teske
Bass Guitar/Vocals
|
|
"BobCleff"
Bob’s musical journey began at a very early age with a passion for guitar. Inspired by a variety
of musical genres and the huge pool of talent in the Midwest Region, his primary influences became
centered on gospel, R&B, and dance music.
After being spotted by a booking agent who was attending his High School open house, he travelled through
the states with a touring show band playing the bass. Upon returning to the Midwest, he played in nearly
every type of venue and built a reputation for bringing the dance groove to every musical format.
Bob serves on the worship team at his local church, teaches Bass at all levels, and is an "A" list studio
musician for ARS and Planet49 Studios. He can be heard on many CD projects for local artists like Heartsfield
“From All over the Place” and “Disrupting the Country”, Perry Jordan “
Georgia Flyer”, Sandra Dee “Love to Love”, Richard Frankz “The Traveler”
and many other internationally distributed projects.
Bob has moved from Hartke to an Eden Platform of amps and cabinets. He is currently playing an Eden
WT-550 head which is driving a 4 ohm 2x10 xlt cabinet at 550 watts for fully reinforced gigs. When playing out,
Bob likes to switch over to an 8 ohm Eden 410T cabinet that is rear ported for the deep bass that really
gets folks out of their chairs.
Bob is still playing his dependable Alvarez 5 string equipped with passive Bartolini PJ pickups and his
MusicMan 4 string sunburst fretless rigged with Seymour Duncan active electronics. This year he began to
move into a new level of playing when he picked up a Stagg Electric Upright Bass. He is still in the learner’s
chair but is grabbing every opportunity to gig with it.
When asked who his favorite artist is, this musician replies...
“Anyone who approaches their craft as a journey and is passionate about growing in their gift.”
Favorite style of music...
“Music is the vehicle that brings us all to a place of celebration…
which can happen at any time, at any place, and within any musical format.”
