Disrupting The Country - HeartsField
Hot out of Planet49 Studios...This is the New Heartsfield CD. I am very proud of the musicianship on this CD...Thank you Perry for inviting me to do what I do, you always surprise me with the caliber of folks that you pull together for these projects. This one is jam packed with legendary talent...Check out Corky Siegel on Have Some Fun. I wonder how many of you are going all nostalgic remembering the Siegel-Schwall band....they're still sounding GREAT. What about the groove on these tracks...really tight! Another great performance by one of my favorite drummers, Pat Doody....Huge Pocket! One day I am going to actually get to meet some of these guys.

All Over The Place - HeartsField
My first studio opportunity occured when I received an invitation from Larry Schara at ARS studio's in Alsip Illinois to play on a 9/11 tribute song. I was very excited to jump in my station wagon and rush to the studio for a late night session with a group of fellas that I had never met before. Larry just said "We are looking for a bass player that can play on top of the beat...come ready to play." I was ecstatic to find out that the group was Heartsfield, one of my favorite bands from the 70's and the song really came together....I was done with my part in just a couple takes, and I made some life long friends. Hope you like it too. Oh Yeah...the name of the song is..."Don't wake the sleeping giant." - Recorded at ARS; Production and Mastering Larry Schara

Love to Love - Sandra Lee (demo)
Shortly after the "Sleeping Giant" session, I received another call from Larry inviting me to participate on a demo project for a local vocalist. I was told that this would be a really spontaneous late night session, and to come ready to really enjoy myself and meet some more of the Heartsfield team. When I arrived at the studio everyone was already set up and very anxious to try out this tune that the guy at the piano had charted out and was handing me. As I reached out to take it, he introduced himself as Artie Baldacci, one of the founding members of Heartsfield! I pulled up, headphoned up, and tuned up for what turned out to be the title cut to Sandra Lee's demo CD, "Love to Love." Within a couple of weeks of wrapping the Love to Love session, Larry called me up and asked me to meet him and pick up a scratch track for another Sandra Lee tune. I was surprised this time when I met with Larry and he asked..."hey Bob, do you still have that nylon string that I heard you play at church?" Larry just kind of giggled...like all of us that know him can absolutely identify with. Yeah, I said...what are you thinking bro? Work out a solo on "I Can't Tell a Soul" and come ready to lay down the bass track too...hmmm, I guess I never really met Sandra but hey you know how that studio stuff works, right? - Recorded at ARS; Production and Mastering Larry Schara

This effort was sponsored by Fuel International and the CD was used internationally as a fund raising vehicle for for promoting mission efforts within that organization. All live - no punch in's on any intruments!
